I am going to write you a letter. A real one. Please wait on that. It will appear above this post, in photographic form.
All the best, until then, and then again (one supposes),

My Not-Writing Spurt
I love writing. I really do. I also love yoga and ASL and Italian and jogging and being outside, ESPECIALLY when the weather is this nice. These activities are like dear, quirky, funny, and caring friends. And like with such real friends, it has been all too easy to take them for granted while taking care of my more demanding and stubborn pals-slash-activities. Are we doing the same load of laundry here? No? Just me? Well, anyway...
Spring break starts tomorrow, and I'll be back in the hamster wheel faster than you can say
"I wish I had never doubted Heidi's loyalty to her blog"
In French. Fluenty.
More to the point...
First I plan on writing that 2.5-weeks-past-it's-deadline look at Winterdance, and then a The Way I See It post (I've missed two, so I really want to compensate by putting one up this weekend), and then a review of the movie An Education, which is supposedly great. We'll see.
In short, I have very good reason to hope I will be outside, twisted like a pretzel, jogging, pencil at hand again soon. Dare I say... this weekend? Hope you guys have a good one and come back quick- keeping me to my promise...

Today I am thankful for SELF. Love love love that magazine. And the great cast of The Miracle Worker, for being overall wonderful and fun to spend even 6 hours of grueling play practice with.

Sick Day
I am tired and have a scratchy throat, so I am afraid I will not be posting for the book club today! Post rescheduled for Monday. Thank you! :(
(And don't worry- I'm feeling better and having been drinking plenty of herbal tea)

Let Me Just Say...
The rest of the week will be blogless, so I may best enjoy the company of my family and the spirit of the holiday. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and get all your gifting done with minimum hassle or stress. Merry Christmas!

Chubby Friday
I love proverbs, so the "HAVE A MOMENT? I'D LIKE A WORD" section is now "THE TURN OF A PHRASE" where I will post proverbs and other phrases (perhaps idioms?).
Check it out, and tell me what you think.
Also! It is Friday, which is usually when I would change the playlist, but since the New Moon playlist is so long, it will be sticking around another week. And I also made changes/improvements to it. As always, hope you likey.

No picture seemed more appropriate, today.
It is a late start for school, so I got to sleep an extra two hours.
Lola Everyday has 3 followers overnight!
It's Amy's birthday!
And she started a new blog which I absolutely love, Amy Recommends.
Please check it out!
I'd also like to welcome a new follower to this blog, Melissa. :)
(her blog is new too)
More talky talky tomorrow.
Have a lovely Tuesday.

Opinion Poll
Hey Guys!
For my art class, we are putting together portfolios over the course of the school year. Every portfolio will consist of 24 pieces; 12 for Breadth (to show off one's range of skills) and 12 for Concentration. Each person has to pick their own concentration, which can be anything. That's a pretty wide range of choice, and of course there are so many options that would be good.
This poses a dilemma with me, since I can't decide on what would be best! I want to know what you guys think. I have gone through a lot of possibilities, but I've narrowed it down to two ideas I like. I'm also open to completely different suggestions (my concentration could be something simple too- like coffee)! I would appreciate it if you would vote on the poll I've just tacked up, so I may come to a decision I can settle with. Thanks!

A Personal Note From The Writer
Is it alright to have more whipped topping than coffee in your cup? If it's a small cup, I think so. Sometimes we just need to indulge ourselves.
Oh, and if you want to know my opinion on anything, just ask. I know it's a bit far reaching to say that, but hey- who doesn't like sharing their opinion?

I am reminded of these lines from Casanova (2005):
Casanova: I have too long dominated the conversation. What are your thoughts on the matter?
Francesca: What did you just say?
Oh, Heath Ledger. You win me over every time.
Side Note: Today is 9-9-09, and I would like to give a little hoorah! This is also my 99th post. (Isn't it great how irony works? By the way, I was writing a paper on irony when I realized the date... wow)
So here are your balloons. Check out the song 99 Red Balloons, while you're at it.

Sheesh
Things can get so tense around here. I just want to shake people and say, "For the love of God, get over it!" Or if I'm feeling really daring, "Get over yourself!"
So I am really tired right now. It was a very good, and very busy/tiring day. I know you guys understand, school starting and everything. Tomorrow I'll be back.

Birthday Preparations
We're just a skip, jump, and hop away from my birthday tomorrow. I'm super excited! So excited I don't have much else to write right now.. I'm going to be off shopping soon for groceries for my big day (I love food, and will be eating delicious food all of tomorrow)...
That's all I have time for right now!

Moving Day
Dear Readers,
Today is moving day for Amy who is leaving us after a long and beautiful summer. And after a morning full of packing her junk into the trunk, we're about to leave for Minnesota. It is sad to see her go, and my next post will most likely be reminiscent of the summer with Amy. Expect me back tomorrow.
Ciao,
Heidi
