UPDATE and My New FAVORITE Video

So... you know how I'm playing Helen Keller in my school's upcoming production of the Miracle Worker? Well, it's been going great so far. I've been having a lot of fun with Mariah especially, who plays Annie Sullivan. There's a lot of handspelling in the show, so we'll be sitting on stage during practice, spelling things into each other's hands, joking and laughing. I also checked out a book on ASL from the library and I'm learning some signs! It's so exciting!

Anyway, it just so happens that one of the blogs I've just started following put up this awesome video with a cute guy doing ASL along with this song. :)

I emailed the link to my director so she could forward it to the rest of the cast. Awesome, right? Hope everyone's doing good! :D

And on the left you'll see my house...

Finally finally finished this painting. And that's what I did all day. What do you think?
Also, I don't like such short, empty posts, so here's some music to listen to while you enjoy my handiwork:

[ADDED LATER: So, I have gotten some amazing compliments on this painting; thank you thank you everyone. When my teacher showed it to the rest of the art class, one kid across the room said, "What's that? A photograph?" and when she said it was my painting, he said, "Damnit Heidi!" And another girl in my class said somewhat jokingly, "Okay, I officially hate you." Um... wow! All the suffering and grief this painting put me through was totally worth it!]

Friday at Long Last!

The weekend we've all been so looking forward to is finally here. Hooray!
Before I go off to hang out with a friend and watch 'The Miracle Worker', I just wanted to say I hope you each have your own kind of good weekend. And by request, I've put a playlist back up. This week it'll be some of my favorite songs on my ipod: music from 'What a Girl Wants'. Also, I've changed my blog links to one list, with some different ones.
Enjoy!

New Year Cleaning

Today will be spent cleaning up for the new year. I've compiled an end-of-2009 playlist of the best songs of the year. I also threw in some random songs that I really liked this year. Enjoy!

New Playlist: IMPORTANT

The playlist seems to be having some issues, but if you click the "Get Tracks" link on the gadget, it will take you to the page with my playlist. Theme: The Nutcracker Ballet. :)
Hopefully things will be back up and running soon.

PROBLEM REALIZED: YOUTUBE REQUIRES THAT THE AUDIO NOT BE SEPARATED FROM THE VIDEO, SO VIDEOS WILL NOW ACCOMPANY THE TRACKS. PLAYLIST WORKING AGAIN!

SNOW DAY!!

This is a video I just watched for the first time yesterday. I love Lady Gaga's music, and I admire her courage in the things she does. :)

***
There was no post yesterday because my mind was consumed by Jane Eyre, which I
FINISHED!!! And yes, it was good. I recommend it. To everyone.

ADDED!!:
Today I am thankful for hot chocolate packets (Seldom does anyone have time to home-make real hot chocolate), snow days, sleeping in, and short term memory (or I would never have seen my cell phone again- it was on the floor between a bed and a bookcase).

Friday = New Playlist, and GUESS the theme!

Carlisle likes my new playlist in the same way I like his fashion.
A lot.

In short, I love NEW MOON. Multiple different awesome aspects put together made a fantastic film, including the acting, the directing, and of course the soundtrack
which is why I'm making an exception to my rule of 8, and included the whole soundtrack.
Hope you likey.

Have a great weekend!

Three Sites for Music Lovers

Now, I'm not much for listening to the radio; I would much rather have control over the songs I listen to (including the awesome power of being able to skip past songs I don't want to hear). So! Over the past year, I have found three websites which are unbelievably free and self-empowering. And I needed to share them with you. Here they are:

1. playlist.com - my love for which I cannot express strongly enough, you can add so many songs
2. myxer.com - free ringtones from my favorite songs?! Don't mind if I do!
3. mixpod.com - provider of the fabulous playlist I now feature on this blog (the search results are excellent, and you are almost garanteed to find what you want, if you're specific enough)

Speaking of which, I've changed the playlist tunes! Hope you likey! This week's tunes are some favorites which I have sung in my Concert Choir.

Have a good weekend everybody! (I know, I love Fridays too)

Inspiration Can Come From The Strangest Places...

I love Opera music. Way more classy than the newest hit on the radio. And I feel classier. No picture for this, because this music can only be felt via the ears. :)

For Your Amusement

Open two tabs. In the first tab, type this URL into the address bar:
http://www.yogajournal.com/video/99

In the second tab, type this into the address bar:
http://www.playlist.com/playlist/13381461515
What should come up is my instrumental playlist, on my MuffinRuler15 account.
Go to track 2: Opus 23, and pause it at 3:15.

Go back into the first tab and press play on the video, immediately clicking it onto mute. Quickly go back to the second tab and press play on the Opus. Then go back and watch the video with it's new soundtrack.

The result should be amusing for at least 3 minutes.

What if every morning you woke up and watched video's of people doing yoga? To music?
